God Selects Your Samaritans

When you are injured on the roadside of life you are often unable to cry out for someone (A Good Samaritan) to help you.  The tendency is to wonder where those people are that you have helped and why are they not responding to your need like you did theirs.  From my own personal experience I think I now understand.

We simply do not get to select our own Samaritans.  God and God alone is the one who orders the steps of His true followers and leads them to those in need.  If we could select our own Samaritans we would choose those people we seek approval from or those we feel owe us.  We would most certainly select people we want but maybe not people we need.     

It can be easy to develop deep resentment towards those you feel could have done more for you but didn’t.  If you are not careful that can become your total focus and your resentment can easily become full blown bitterness.  When in reality, God always sends HIS Samaritans, those special someones who take the time to help you.  

When you are hurting it is easy to get dialed in on those who don't come help you instead of appreciating those who do.  Today, as I set here typing this, I am healed and alive again because of a long list of wonderful people that God sent to love and encourage me.  He will do the same for you.   

I testify to you that God will select and send HIS Samaritans to you.  He will send people who will help you make it through even the most difficult of days.  I challenge you to be patient.  God has not forgotten you and He will never leave you to bleed alone.  I promise you your God sent Samaritans will come.  In fact, if you look closely enough they have likely been there all along.
