This is a letter I received from my Mom during the most difficult season of my life... I sure love my MOM... If you have loved ones who have drifted from God call them, write them, go find them, and love them back to God.  Your efforts just may make an eternal difference in their lives.

A Letter From Mom

Dear Son,

It seems that just yesterday you were a small boy in my arms. I used to watch you play and wonder what the future held for you. You were so good at everything you did. You put your heart and soul into everything.

I always believed you would be a preacher. You used to take a TV tray and go down the street and preach at every house. You would pick up the tray and go to the next house until I finally had to call you home. I saw your leadership at a very young age.  Every night I would put you to bed and pray over you that God would help you to grow straight and strong.

You came home one day and wanted to play the trumpet. I was on ADC and I didn't have much money. I told you to let me pray if this was the way God wanted us to go. I prayed all night for God to make a way to get one.

Early the next morning a friend called and said he had me on his mind. I told him I was praying for God to make a way. My friend across the street took me to the pawnshop and I had just $10.00 to my name. I saw this beautiful horn in the window and the clerk said he would hold it until the next day. My friend gave me the amount I needed and we had him paid back in two weeks.

I had no doubt the Lord wanted you to have that horn. I laid hands on you and prayed that you would never play that for the devil but that God would have your talent. As time went on I could see the Lord's hand on you.

God hasn't thrown you away Keith. He has to much invested in you. There are thousands of young people in the kingdom because of you. I don't think you have met your peak to where God is going to take you.

Get your eyes off the opinion of people. God is who you are working for. He's the one that will give us the rewards. You don't have to work to get people to affirm you. The only thing that matters is if God is affirming you. You will be free when you get over wanting the approval of people.

I want you to find what God wants for you now. Don't try and do it in your own mind and strength, you've got to trust the Lord that He knows what He is doing and how He wants it done.

You are going to make it because God has a call on your life and He doesn't change His mind. None of us like to bite the bullet for what we do but it is the only way to get over it and move on. Be honest with God and bare your heart to Him. Let Him be your friend like never before.

You will make it son. God loves you and so do I.
