The term Good Samaritan is taken from the story Christ shared in the Gospel of Luke Chapter 10 verses 25-37.Through this story Jesus taught that we should love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind; and that you should love your neighbor as yourself.
He also taught us that Good Samaritans are people of great sacrifice as the Samaritan used his own bandages, wine, oil, donkey, and money to care for a hurting man he did not know. He also taught that we should do all we can to help those in need.Sadly, this story also teaches us that many religious people, people who declare themselves as holy and righteous, intentionally ignore the needs of people and deliberately avoid those who need help.
